Ability to post log updates mid-trip on iPhone app
You can post photos, it would be good to be able to post log notes too.
Is this something you would use?

Make it possible to log the miles/weather completed each day rather than just per trip
So that if you're on a one week trip at the end of each day you can put in the weather and distance travelled that day..

Add import feature
Make it easier for users that already have a log book to migrate to Saild.
To simplify it, you can specify a csv format to use. Then people can simply convert from whatever format they currently have to csv using any spreadsheet app.

Add night trip monitoring
Add the ability to track whether the sailing was at night or during the day time.
ref: RYA / USCG certifications (e.g., Ocean Yacht Master) require a personal log book with additional info.

Make it possible to log Dinghy, Multihull & Power separately
So that totals are split three ways and you can see miles sailed totals for Dinghy, Multihull & Power separately.
It would also be good to be able to view the lists of trips according to those as well.

Add a tidal/non tidal switch, as NT counts only half for milebuilders
also add it to the miles calculation (maybe with 3 values: total tidal, total non tidal, total overall (with NT counting half)

Add First Mate for Trips
As well as being able to show who the skipper was, show whether the user was a first mate (i.e., in charge of shifts, course planning, communications, etc.)
ref: RYA / USCG certifications (e.g., Ocean Yacht Master) require a personal log book with additional info.

When updating a trip, the dates produce an error
When the update form loads, the dates are displayed in a dd/MM/yyyy format which is different than the format used to enter these dates in the first place dd MMM yyyy.
If I don't enter the dates manually again in the original format, I get an error saying the update could not be completed because the date fields are empty.
