Hi David, thanks for your suggestion.
Could you clarify a little? Currently all photos taken in the app are also stored on the phone and they are all tagged with the Lat/Long of where they are taken (in the EXIF).
The photos are also tagged onto the google map for each trip on Saild.com.
Hey Paul, this is planned. Soon!
There is a bug on the site which we're working on fixing for adding trips.
To add some clarity are you suggesting the ability to add trips from the app manually?
I think this is in relation to showing real-time position to friends online?
Correct me if I'm wrong and what is actually meant is a live map showing position in the app..

Fuel & engine hours is defiantly on the road map but can’t say exactly when it might be launched..
Hey Roy, sounds like a good idea..
Typo correction planned for next update.
Seems that a spot of dyslexia has creeped in :)
Looking at the RYA they like to have night hours calculated for night hours for Yachtmaster Coastal but not for other courses.
For the offshore they require that of the x5 60nm passages, at least two should 'involve overnight passages'. On that basis I guess we could do both on the export, some logic that says whether a trip involved night sailing as well as how much night sailing.
If we need to calculate whether it's night/day, might as well include the amount of night time as well..
A simpler option would be to count a two day trip as having an overnight part but that feels like it could end up being inaccurate.
As this can be calculated algorithmically it is possible to have this automatically calculated.
Which is our preference as the whole idea of the app is that you shouldn't need to touch it! Any other further thought on this?
The RYA view night time as one hour after sunset, is this echoed by US Sailing and other authorities?
So there's a couple of different approaches here which could be taken.
We could build this into the mobile app so that you can elect yourself as Skipper / First mate / Crew
We could add first mate to the existing crew edit which you can get to when looking at a trip.
Any other thoughts/ideas here. This also potentially ties in with adding the other crew/skippers on your boat to your log.
How about the ability for the skipper to sign the screen and for them to add their email address?
This functionality is built in we just haven’t quite finished it yet..
